Dog Psychology means we work within the psychology of the dog. Communicating with the dog in a way that makes sense to them. The training is done through the language of the dog and we train the human to speak it.

Yes. A dog is a living being that learns rules and boundaries from their pack. Investing in a trainer is gifting your relationship with your dog a translator. Therefore you can pass on all the rules and boundaries that are important to your pack to them in way that makes sense to them.

In a Board and Train program the trainer does 90% of the work. In private sessions the owner does 90% of the work. It is an individual choice. With that being said, in a board and train, a dog gets a more immersive experience and the owners get to learn at a pace that is not overwhelming.

No. The same way it is never too late for us to start learning something new, it is never too late for a dog to learn something new. Making the decision and the investment to better the relationship is always going to be the right one. No matter anyone’s age.

Making a very broad statement here, but… I would bring both dogs to an evaluation and listen to the advice of the professional. And I would make sure that I was applying the rules and techniques the professional was using with the dog in training, with the one that was left at home.
